Say what??? Did you not read the list? Yes I have heads and cam! But that's a little "tide me over" project so I'm not bored with the car until the real motor is in. I'm leaving the US for a while so I'm not installing it until I get back. She makes 420/420 at the wheels which makes her fun... but NOT fast. This entire motor will be out of the car. I can't run these heads and make the compression I want on the 396. She WILL be fast though. ;)

Any other easy questions? ;)

I will never gut this car. My goal is to be "fast" in FULL street trim. I don't even run a short belt on this car... and won't either. And remember how much of that is these damn wheels. ;) Show AND go... got the show... needs more go. :D

LOL.. I did do about half the work myself or with just friends' help. There are some HELLA expensive parts in this car... think about it... FM/5s; Moser 12-bolt with 33 spline axles, Eaton Posi; Baer brakes; Ram clutch setup w/ aluminum flywheel, all LS1 (aka expensive) bolt-ons, custom exhaust... etc...

I have not ventured over to LS1.com to see the post. Guess I am lazy. Maybe Chris will chime in on here sometime. Oh well, i have no use for AMS or any other shops.

AMS did respond, but their response just showed their complete lack of any care for their customer service....it also showed how they dont give a damn if they made a mistake...they just use more lies to try and cover it up!!!!

AMS seriously shit the bed with the guy w/the cam, and its troublesome they dont care to fix their mistake....

You think as much as their name is going to hell right now, they would show a bit more concern. Perhaps they may not be a long for much longer!!!!! :)

I had AMS do some work to my 99 F150. They installed a Traction Lok for me. It was done real fast and I have been very happy with the performance.

BUT.......

Since then I went to him through a friend of mine and had him order some new injectors and a MAF from AMS. I waited for over a month to get the parts and finally after 5 weeks I went to USA MotorSports and got the injectors that day and the MAF a week later.

My final opinion, Keith wont get off his ass unless you wave the almighty dollar in his face and prove to him you want the service or parts.

I do go to USA. If USA sold Cams I would have been there. I bought several things from USA...Mac Headers, y pipe, 02simms, asp pulley. I have been completely satisfied with USA's work. They have great customer service.

AMS has been in business for 11 years and it ain't going no where. You could go up there today and they would be packed full of cars. They get over 300 calls per day, so it is hard for them to remember everyone. Don't forget about mail order either......most of the people AMS deals with have a little more knowledge about vehicles (as horrible as that may sound). When a guy like you expects them to do something and then post shit like this.....what do you think is going to happen! (it is the common sense thing again)

Believe me there are plenty of people that have good and bad experiences with AMS, but welcome to the real world son...........this is Business.

looks like nowadays anyone can slap a 150shot on a car and claim to be car gurus.....918s are mostly used with stock retainers....ive done many cars with this combination, including FreakZ's, who to this day, driving the shit out of it, has yet to break one...
