I believe it was Xstang! At least the guys on LS1.com werent bagging on him and making stupid remarks, they seemed to be mature about it.

Its funny how they comment on the Cobras 60ft times when the LS1 guy himself said that he didnt get to rev it to 5k(on BFG's) due to the instant green. Maybe it was a bad launch or the Cobra wasnt ready himself or his first run at the track with that car. Going to be hard to get a good 60ft with stock tires on that much motor.

It was me... I need to practice that is for sure... I can't wait to get back on the track.. this is killing me...

I've pulled 1.8 60's in my GT, so I know how bad a 2.4 60's is... I have never been so dissapointed in myself.... :mad:

Hey man, its a new car! You'll get used to it. IRS is a bitch at the 1/4 mile track.

I don't do any 1/4 miles, most track time is down at Texas World Speedway, but playing around launching every now and then, even at 3000 rpm launches I'll wheel hop my ass like a scared rabbit.

Good luck in getting that time down!

Supposedly the 03 has quelled the wheelhop, as there would be no way our 99-01 IRS could take 400ft/lbs of torque, lol! They built the rear end so someone could toss on a set of slicks, a`la the vette IRS. I say you call the ls1 guys out for a rematch XStang ;)

XStang, just curious, since I haven't read about track experiences with the '03 Cobra before...

What gear and what RPM did you finish the quarter mile in?

4th gear ... third maxes out at 103MPH...... So I'm guessing 4500-5000 rpms in 4th at 108

By the way.. I'm sure I will have plenty of chances to redeem myself... I am hoping for the Friday after next.....

Wow you ran a 12.4 in your GT? What did have all done to it?
