Dangerous Performance??? [Archive]

Okay........ I don't understand why it is called Dangerous Performance. :confused: I checked the site out, all I saw were a few POS cars and a few guys who look like they might take it in the ass. The only thing that I would consider remotely dangerous would be that malnourished kid on that crotch rocket. If he went to fast, the wind might blow him off that bike. That is a bit dangerous.

Can someone please help me out on this?

Huge article on that bunch in the new Observer. Cover story? You gotta be shittin' me! Why not do an article on a group that actually does GOOD? The GTG I've been to have been calm, friendly, and maybe the occasional "blast-by" (harmless), but no racing. It's like they are romanticizing that entire racket. Is that responsible journalism? Am I just an old man? We all know we race from time to time, usually impromptu show-downs. To glorify that bunch is enough for their ego's to go into overdrive (literally), and get someone hurt. With the tracks that are around, I'd think they could race all they want legally.

I really wasn't aware that running a high 12 made someone "Dangerous?"

I was browsing, and came across this topic. I have dealt with this crew for the past couple of years. Ask Edward, the WHITE COBRA, he remembers me and my car. Everytime I saw him at the street races, he would race only short distances. When people would creep up on his ass, he would let off. At the track, his car against mine, was 3-0 in favor of me. At the track, I was unstopable. One night, March 15, 2002 I out did his car at a 12.2 to a 12.4. That was 90 shot and first time on slicks. The next weekend was supposed to be the rematch. He showed up, but didn't want to race me. That night my ride hit the 11.86 @ 114mph. What a coinsidence, they said that they ran that as well. They posted it all over their sight. I showed them my slip, but I didn't see theirs. I even posted it up on here for every one to see. They still didn't show it. Oh well. They are the reason why I want to sell my car. People like them make racing no fun anymore. How in the hell are you suppose to race if you tell the cops where you are going to be anyway. Personally, I think that they did that so they wouldn't have to race. Just another excuse, I guess. We used to hear, my clutch, my axles, my tires, no nitrous and everything else was broken. I just got tired of hearing that shit. Remember, to them, they never lose. If you beat them 4 out of 5 times, that one time that they win, they won't race you any more.
