The whole thing is that i don't want a brand name. I want a no name thats good. Know anything like that? I drive a v6 mustang and i want to power a sub more than 300watt.

Well, I've heard US Acoustics is m'kay. Never used them, get a used PPI Art Series...I got a A300 for $50 from a pawn shop. It is a 50x2 or 300x1

Bah, those amps look gay so people sell them for cheap. I got an A404 (50x4) for the F-150 for like $200 off Ebay.

A pawn shop in south arlington has tons of stereo stuff. They are on 157 just past Sublett

Stay away from Fosgate (unless it is old stuff).

For the sub:

PPI A200
PPI A300

Alpine V12 amps MRV-T320

Kenwood base model amps KAC-829

Pioneer amps are m'kay too.

Make sure you pay attention to the RMS rating it is the important one. Peak isn't important.

What about boss
do they make good amps?

No. Boss, Pyramid, Lanzar(owned by Pyramid), Power Acoustic, JBC(yes, JBC), etc all suck and do not deliver the power that they say they do. A good quality small amp will out perform a junky big amp. Also, do not pay any attention to 14.4V ratings. You will not have 14.4V at the amp so the rating is bogus. Always look at 12V, 20Hz-20kHz ratings for comparison. I agree that the lower line Kenwood stuff is ok. The KAC-829 ($199, 1 yr warranty) says 600W on the front but its real output is 200W @ 12V. A PPI PCX-250 ($299, 3 yr Warranty) puts out 200W down to 10.5V and is much cleaner than the Kenwood.
Cheap stuff is just that.

How could I leave them out.
If it is mainly sold at the flea market, you don't want it.

I used an Audiobahn too push 2 fosgate dvcs. It did ok, I had it at the max power, and I could tell that the subs could definately handle more power. I would spend more and get a PPI or Alpine amp.....

JBL 300.1 can do 300W rms at 2ohms/600w max (underrated)
