Crabtree signs with 49ers Posted: October 7th, 2009 | NFL.com Staff | Tags: Michael Crabtree, San Francisco 49ers

The San Francisco 49ers have reached agreement with holdout first-round draft pick Michael Crabtree, according to multiple sources.

NFL Network’s Jason La Canfora reports that Crabtree’s contract is being reviewed by the NFL but he has signed, according to a source. Should he meet certain performance goals in two of the first four years of the deal, the sixth year would void.

Crabtree will probably hurt himself during his first practice and be out for the season.

He had M.C. Hammer involved in the talks.

How the hell could you have someone who literally blew MILLIONS away involved in your financing? This is not going to go well for Michael Trabtree.

golf clap, now go blow a knee.

My sentiments, exactly. That guy can go fuck himself from now until eternity. People would have killed to have been in his position and he holds out on signing. Fuck off and die Cuntree.

Crabtree ends holdout, comes to terms on 6-year deal with 49ers
NFL.com Wire Reports

SANTA CLARA, Calif. -- The San Francisco 49ers and wide receiver Michael Crabtree have agreed to a six-year contract after several months of difficult negotiations.

Team spokesman Bob Lange confirmed the deal in a text message to The Associated Press early Wednesday. Terms were not disclosed.

First-round signings
Michael Crabtree, the 10th player taken in the 2009 draft, became the last to sign a contract with his team. The former Texas Tech wideout agreed to a six-year deal with the 49ers. Complete first-round signings ... NFL Network’s Jason La Canfora reports that if Crabtree meets certain performance goals in two of the first four years of the deal, the sixth year would void.

The 10th overall draft pick sat out offseason minicamps and organized team activities while recovering from a foot injury, but was a regular presence at the Niners' training facility. He was the last pick from this year's draft to sign.

Crabtree and his agent, Eugene Parker, sat down with three top 49ers officials Tuesday to work through his contract impasse. The former Texas Tech star had balked at an offer of five years and $20 million, instead seeking money comparable to higher draft picks.

The first-place 49ers are off to a 3-1 start without Crabtree, but their offense ranks 28th in the NFL. San Francisco's passing game also ranks 28th and none of the team's wide receivers rank among the league's top 50 in receptions.

The 49ers needed to have signed Crabtree by Nov. 17 for him to have remained eligible to play this season.

The Associated Press contributed to this story.

I am a fan of TT football and was a fan of Crabtree until he pulled this mess and the people he chooses to take advise from. He might be ready for the game down here in Houston and I can't wait for Ryans, Cushing or Robinson to welcome him to the NFL.

LOL no wonder the Texans defense sucks. They're putting linebackers on wideouts that are far too fast for them. :haha:
