If you are on 3.0 firmware or higher then go to this link on your iphones browser and it will unlock the tethering

It is supposed to eliminate that option. I haven't upgraded to 3.1 because of this neither has my GF - we are looking for somebody to try it before we do. :D

I don't tether very often, but it's nice to know it's there if I need it.

Right now its not offered threw ATT but when it comes out it will be 60 bucks a month to have tethering legally.

There is no app. Just install the profile/software from benm site. reboot phone.

Go to settings, general, network, turn on tethering.. plug it into your laptop/computer and let it install its software, should just be a minute or 2 and it will automatically come on...

this does not work if you update to 3.1, i updated and now and then tried to dl the hack for mms and tethering, it will install the profile but other then that, nothing shows up.. no options.. nothing..

yup it works well, but it did break visual voicemail... I would download it and install the carrier file when I needed tethering and then reset network settings after.
