Update from my other All Day Dove Hunt Post:

I need turn in a list of who's in for the Dove Hunt in Breckenridge on Sept. 4th-5th. Reply with I'll be there on this post. Also pm me to exchange cell phone info. and to get you in the gate.


I still have several spots available. We will all meet up at the outer parking lot of Walmart on FM 3099/Hwy 180 @ 7am both days (just 10 mins from the dove fields). This way it will be easier to enter the gate all at once. There will be other lease members w/family and friends at camp. I will have your names on it so you can attend, especially if you're late getting there.

During hunting season which starts Sept. 1st, we are not allowed to shoot or plink. This trip is to hunt doves with shotguns. There will be 30-40 other people out there and to be respectful, we'll mainly hunt doves. If you and C.J. want to hunt hogs from my stand feel free to at night. Also shoot all the varmints such as coyotes or hogs as you can.

I think that was why we didn't see any hogs out... I've got a light out by the feeder now. So you just going to have to be patient and wait for them to show up at the corn buffet!

Went out to the lease with cobra this weekend. Did some upkeep, hauled shit around, and then sat in the stand. Didn't see any hogs, went down to the feeder to check it and almost got bit by a big rattler. Needless to say I emptied a magazine into him.

Hogs leave great trails. I have never used a camera for hunting. Not saying that they arnt useful, I just dont use them.

I prefer hunting at its core. Loin cloth, sharpened stick, feces camoflauge, etc.

At the intersection of 180/FM 3099 (You'll see Walmart on your right), make a right on FM 3099, its a 1/2 mile past the left exit to the marina. Its on the right (Akers Lease) Call me to get in the gate at Deer Camp.

Those who are going, make sure to bring plenty of liquids and food, I'll bring some meat to feed us for a night, if everyone could do that we should be good all weekend. Make sure to bring a big cooler and tent. If you have any questions call cobra or pm me.

I am definitely going! Friday is the 1 year date since my grandmother passed away and I am taking my grandfather, mom, and sister to the cemetary friday afternoon and Granbury. We are going to some family's house for dinner and won't be home till late. Sunday my uncle is coming over from dallas to help me do some remodel work on my bathroom. I wish I could stay all weekend, but I will for sure be there saturday!
