Im trying to pick out my 5.1 setup and I think I decided on AV123.com 5.1 X-Statik setup that is on sale but it doesnt come with a sub and they are backordered on all theirs due to issues with the amps they use so I am looking for a good sub that will really thump!

What is your budget? That will dictate your selection along with size room you'll be placing it in.
HSU Research and SVS are the best Home Theater subs on the planet if you want to just go straight to the top.
If you're on a budget then check out the BIC H-100 or a Dayton SUB-120.

less than $1k budget on the sub
The room is about 14' x 18' if I remember right with a vaulted ceiling. No wall on the backside though, leads into the kitchen. So its not that big.

The HSU prices are pretty nice! I wonder how their surround speakers sound? Cheaper than the X-Static set I was looking at. Not as nice looking though but owell.
Here is the set Im looking at, it would be a mixup between the satin black and maple.

I have a vtf3.3, picked it up for $500 plus the ride. It sounds pretty damn good to me!

If its good enough for moneybags, it must be good enough for me
Yeah I dig the HSU stuff, well I dig both companies stuff but I like HSU's prices better.

With bass you have to fill the kitchen and other connected airspace too. My house is the same way. I wish I had my Svs in a small dedicated theater room.

Yeah I know it. I have a cheap sony setup right now with a low end sub and it does ok for what it is, so Im sure Ill be impressed by any of these alternatives.

yeah Nick recommended the AV123 stuff a while back and I really dig that stuff too. I may go with the AV123 speakers and HSU sub.
