Wife and I are going to do it, we clean out alot of junk food from our place and stocked up on good healthy stuff. She made our own protein bars yesterday, we've got our diets set and everything ready to go.
Took our before pics and got our measurements.
Wife text me already, she said she almost threw up twice but completed the first day. LOL
I'll hit it when I get home today. Here's to the next 90 days :yell:
its some hardcore stuff. You just have to follow the diet really well. You can work out all you want, but if you dont diet correctly, nothing is going to happen.

Plyometrics is nuts. If you REALLY push yourself then you'll see results but if you never increase your reps or weight, you'll plateau quick on the program. I suggest taking up jogging to go along with the program. It'll help you build up a good lung capacity to push yourself to the next level during it.

Congrats to you and your wife!
I have heard good things about P90X and seen a few co-workers lose quite a bit of weight on it.
What did you use to make your protein bars?

Plyometrics was yesterday and I believe Satan himself created it. LOL, it was tough. I mean when the 4 people doing the damn video are in great shape and they are wearing down you know it's tough.
I bought the entire kit, it was like $130 for everything I believe.

Alright, Day 3. Shoulders, Tri's, & Bi's.
I liked it, not bad at all. You can definitely feel the burn throughout.
Now, day 3 my entire body hurts from head to toe. I'm walking like I'm 80yrs old...LOL
Tomorrow is Yoga, not really looking foward to that..it's also an hour & a half long.

The thing that turned me off of P90X was the time it takes to do it. I just switched to cardio X and ab ripper x only as I wasn't concerned with the muscle aspect and they can be done in less than 45 minutes. I added jogging and a low carb diet to this and lost 30lbs in about 4 months.
Good luck!

Well Yoga definitely changed my perspective on it. I've never tried or actually watched how it's done. DAMN, they did some flexibility shit I couldn't do if I was forced too!
It's pretty tough, definitely gets you sweating. Hopefully in time I'll be able to pull off some of the moves they do, afterwards feels pretty good after doing the workout.
This was day 4 into the P90X and these workouts live up to their expectations.

Increasing the flexibilty will prove to be very fun for you and your wife.
I still use the yoga part of the set to keep mine going strong, regardless of how much I workout at the gym.

I have heard a lot about it, but what all did you have to get for the workouts? I see people with dumbells, and stretch bands, what besides the dvd's did you need?

You can use dumbbells or resistance bands. Either one will work. You'll also need a pull-up bar and I think that's it. And a mat obviously if you don't want to risk getting carpet burn on the ab ripper video lol.

You need a Mat, Chin Up Bar, and either resistance bands or dumbells.
Past 2 workouts were good, yesterday was legs & back and today was kenpo which was pretty good. Tomorrow is either a rest day or you do the stretching dvd, so one week down...83 more days to go :D

I refuse to weigh myself, I know I will weigh a little more b/c I'm turning fat into muscle but I just don't want to see that.
I'm on day 10, have Yoga again today. I feel better, I'm actually looking foward to doing this each day. My clothes do fit a little better too. (That's how I'm really judging my progress!)
I'm not following the diet plan exactly how it is but I'm doing pretty damn good for me.

Good deal. One of the biggest mistakes people make is weighing themselves too much. I don't step on a scale more than once every few weeks, and always first thing in the morning after the ole morning piss.

Staring week 5 today, still going. 30 days down so far.
Feel good, weighed myself and I am down a little bit..6lbs, but not as much as I thought. Definitely though alot stronger, better endurance and a little leaner/smaller in size.
