I really have been wanting to extend my drive way down the side of my house, but I think concrete is gonna be lots o money. I was thinking about doing a gravel drive with stone or brick edges. Would this be a good idea? Would it even be cheaper than concrete? Thoughts? Ideas? Can anybody here do this work?

With gravel, the rocks will dissapear over time requiring you to buy more gravel.

Sorry about that, It's great when someone can save some money in this economy and a fellow board member can potently make some!

I'd do crete or asphalt.
I'd also check to make sure no permit is needed.

I'd do it right and pour concrete. Just shop around and find a good rate, I'm sure there's a lot of people looking for work right now.

How much does a half dump truck load of rock go for? I have a small semi grassy area where the boat sits tha I would rather have coverd with rock.
