I finally got everything moved down here to Dallas, but I have been having all kinds of issues with the sprinkler system at our new place. The biggest problem was that there was a lot of standing water in the backyard. So much that when I tried to mow it was just rutting up the yard and just making an even larger mess. I dug up the yard last weekend and found 2 different control valves that were leaking heavily. I cut and capped the line the was feeding those 2 valves to fix it temporarily because I couldn't find the master control valve to shut the system off. Those 2 sprinkler heads were in the middle of the back yard and they haven't been watering the lawn properly for who knows how long anyway, so I will just have to manually water it while I'm trying to reseed the soil. This system is really old. I tried doing several searches with no luck. It is a Lawn Genie brand with an R416LG automatic controller. I've tried working it over with the directions that are labeled on the control box, but there is obviously something amiss because it isn't working. I don't know if I should just shut the whole thing down and water manually, try and find another auotmatic controller that might work with this system, or pony up the cash and do an all new system that works properly and will water all the lawn and shrubbery effectively. Any help is greatly appreciated.
