I seriously don't get why McGee got drafted and Harrell didn't. Granted they both played in polar opposite systems, but even I will admit Harrell was a much more successful and better QB in College.

And I wonder how that good 'ol Ennis boy is gonna do in Canada come November. lol

[QUOTE=Who Needs 8;5801083I seriously don't get why McGee got drafted and Harrell didn't. [/QUOTE]That's because Harrell is a whiny crybaby who wouldn't last one down in the NFL.

He's a "product of the system"...There's a long list of Houston Cougar and Tech QB's that had huge numbers, but never made the pro's.

McGee actually has an arm. Did you see Graham's performance in the Senior Bowl ? He was skipping passes into WRs. When a QB doesn't throw a pass beyond 10 yards, it's hard to judge his arm strength.

Plus, he's a whiny bitch.

Hence, my "product of the system" notation...

Well yes, but it goes beyond that. Kliff Queensberry was a product of the system too, but he actually had an arm.

I would like to see him do well and have the NFL beg to have him play.

I know his family and he's a good kid. I don't follow college football, so I don't know the background of the "whiney" stuff. Fill me in if anyone has the inclination.

We're in the Ennis football district, and he's just got a history of being a really sore loser and a whiner.

He flipped off his own crowd after a game. Can't recall which game though.

oh hell, the NFL has proven time and time agian they can't properly evalutate QB's. The list of top QB draft pick busts grows every year and the Tom Brady's and Kurt Warners come out of other leagues or very late draft picks. There have been several successful quarterbacks in the NFL that came from Canada. Harrell was more than a product of the system, does he have the best arm? Probably not, but he is more than the system. He has good touch on the ball. He threw some passes to Crabtree that I am still in awe of that only Crabtree could catch....you Texas fans proably remember one. I remember one against OK State up in Lubbock, happened right in front of me, still can't believe it. He might not be a hill of beans in the NFL, but he was much better than an average college quarterback.
