Anyone seen the trailer...Robert Downey Jr., Jude Law, Rachel McAdams, Mark Strong.

Looks pretty good, a little more action than what you would expect from a Sherlock Holmes movie. Definitely will be worth checking out.

I read every single Holmes book written by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. There was a very dark side to Holmes that hardly ever showed up in the movies. The "Seven Percent Solution" referred to Holmes' fondness of cocaine...

Holmes was a coke-fiend for sure and you could tell in the books.

Im not sure i really like the idea of him being in an "action" movie. Yeah yeah yeah, i know he was fond of boxing and whatnot, but the man was famous for his methodology to crime and his approach to both physical evidence and the criminal mindset...and not for blowing shit up.

I haven't read the books, but I may have to pick up at least one and give it a go.

Either way, looks like their is going to be some humor present in this movie...and it releases Christmas day.

Great way to wind down after spending the day with my extremely neurotic family.
