I figured I would put up some pics of my house in progress. We closed on it on the 9th of June, and I'd say its off to a pretty good start. It's 1800 square ft living, with a 1 car garage, I really didn't want one at all, but I get my slab for a shop so she gets a small garage. Crossing our fingers, we hope for it to be completed by the end of August. By the way, I know I need to cut the tree down that really screws up pictures of the front of the house.
thanks
Brad

make sure your brickers tie the stone & brick together with brick ties to avoid cracking and expansion joints 15 ft from corners.

looking good, but what is done is always the fast part. Wait till they start the interior...it will slow down considerably.

The more space we have, the more stuff my wife will find to fill it lol.

Thats what everyone is telling me, but its nice to come and check on it in the evening and see one or two new things in there.

Wha? You put cars and tools in the garage. Maybe do woodworking projects there...etc.
Edit: I guess a big thing to realize is you just alienated a big group of buyers if you were to ever sell. Unless of course, you have enough land to add detached shops/garages.

Well its got a 1 car garage, but my tools and car, etc will go in my shop, we are on 2 acres of a 44 acre family tract, which will eventually be my wifes. So we may expand in the future, but I dont forsee us moving.
