Alright, I have HDMI cable running from my PS3 to my TV (HDMI 1). I have an HDMI cable running from my Home theater tuner to my TV (HDMI 2). How can I get the PS3 sound to run through the home theater instead of the TV?

Route the PS3 HDMI to the receiver, rather than the TV. That's how I've got mine set up. Without knowing what receiver you have, that's about all I can offer.
Hook ps3 to receiver then from receiver into tv

That sucks. Only 1 HDMI outlet on the receiver. Looks like I'll have to either not use it or lose the HDMI

You mean only 1 HDMI input? You only need 1 output. But you would need multiple HDMI inputs.
What about running optical cable from the PS3 to the receiver? Jared - Isn't that how yours was hooked up?

I used a Fiberoptic cable to run that on my end for the audio. I bet your Amp has that for sure!

Only 1 HDMI port on the receiver, no way to plug in another. I'll have to go optical cable as there is a port on the receiver for that.

That should work just fine. I don't think you'll really lose any noticeable audio quality.
That's how mine is done on the optical. Just make sure you set it correctly in the ps3 settings.

I used optical for a while until I upgraded to a receiver with HDMI switching.
