Anyone got them in their kitchen? I want to retrofit 10 drawers in our kitchen with thi technology. Slam the drawer as hard as you want and it stops about 1.5" from closing and sucks closed slowly. Not that we slam drawers at my house but it adds a certain high-tech accessory element to the kitchen.
Some retrofits I think require profiling the lower sides of the drawer for clearance. Blumotion is one of the more popular products, I want rails that require no modification to the drawers or cabinets.
Who has done these or knows about installing them? Do the cheaper no-name brand slides work for years?

embedded videos only work on the video and picture forum..
Woodcraft sells the slides you are looking for. You can find them here:

The website also has installation instructions that you can download. You should be able to tell what you'll need to get the job done.
There is a Woodcraft store in Addison and one in Ft. Worth. Rockler stores may carry the same thing.

thats retail; I have found them cheaper now online. The longer the length, the more expensive. Here is a set of six 21" that went for under $100

BluMotion is name brand stuff, on an average they are $10-$20 set for most drawers.

Ours came installed by the cabinet maker. They are well worth it along with the no slam hinges.
It only cost us 8 dollars per drawer to do it when we had the cabinets made We didn't do them in our guest bathroom and now wish we did it will be 20 per set now.
Thanks,
Raymond

We got these in the cabinets were waiting to receive from Thomasville. I got approached in Home Depot by an employee and was politely asked to quit messing with the cabinet drawers. I had been back there trying as hard as I could to get the no slam hinges to slam for about 10m minutes, LOL. I never did get it to slam shut, worked everytime, so we added them to our order.

Our IKEA cabinets all have softclose. they are definitely the coolest little touch you can add to the kitchen. When we first show people the kitchen, I'll open up the big drawer with all of our pans and slam it shut. It catches about a 1" from close, and just slowly goes flush. IKEA uses Blum on all of their kitchen cabinets which makes them so nice. The Blumotion is an upgrade, but I think it was around $8 per drawer when we did ours last year.
