Hass Point #1 - Signing an online petition does not count as letting your voice be heard.

In these times of impressive technology, it seems that many have found comfort in listing their name on the internet in opposition of certain decisions our government is making. Some questions that need to be asked are: What happens after an internet petition is signed? What kind of attention does it get? Does it make the TV news so that those who mainly get their news from the TV can view the results? Does it make it to the front line of the internet news? Has signing online petitions ever produced any desired result on an important issue or does it simply serve as a meaningless vent in cyberspace? According to Snopes.com, they DO NOT remedy important issues. Source - http://www.snopes.com/inboxer/petition/internet.asp According to the website the "signatures aren't votes, and they aren't treated as such by the governing bodies that have to decide on the tough questions of our times."

Before you spend any of your valuable time on another meaningless internet petition, ask yourself if that's the best you can do to make a difference. Ask yourself what others have done in the past that have truly made a difference on our society. Compare results of online petitions to the results of the recent Tea Parties that took place in our country. Which one do you feel was more effective?

It seems that our current politicians are hellbent on thrusting bills down our throats as quickly as they can. Meanwhile they know that so far, there's nothing the people of the US can do until time to vote. The more internet petitions that get passed around will only distract you from making a real difference to any changes currently being made.

What can we do NOW that will bring the best results?

Put up a poll for either impeaching the bastards, or recalling them.

I'll bet that will get there attention.

They have all violated their oath of office. They placed their hand on a bible and swore to up hold the constitution. Non of them have done this.

High-5!

The only way to defeat them is to use plays from their book and turn the tables, be louder, be educated, be forceful, and stick to your believes.

The liberals believe in a bunch of bullshit, but they are sold out to that cause and people buy into them (not their believes) because they are passionate and passion is much easier to respect than some mealy mouthed moderate that has nothing to say because he doesn't want to offend people.

Fuck that shit right in the ass, be offensive - it means you're challenging people's thoughts, believe what you believe to the center of your core and people will follow you and more importantly, lead others to you.

This is why both the established right and the left fear people like Sarah Palin.
