No. That is just a cable that plugs into one of their (USA Spec) units.

hey e-dub, do you have any alpine kca-420i modules?
Maybe. What radio are you trying to connect it to? The newer decks are way better at controlling/displaying iPod info. I may also have another option as well.

i have a cda-9835 that was sitting in a box so i put it to use by putting it in a boat.
i already had the aux to ai-net cable.
i just bought the kca-420i but i may return it. So far from what i've messed with i don't like it.

I've got some of these modules left still....
Ai-Net to something like the PAC icAV2 works well and charges the ipod/iphone including 5V units. If it is for a boat, you should look at the CDA-9886M and MC10 remote.

yea that mc10 remote looks slick. it sure would be nice to have that mounted near the rear deck.
the 9886m looks nice but i really like the ida100m. think it makes a big difference to go with marine eq over car stuff? i dont plan on the radio getting wet or even touching it much, either just set the xm channel and go or control it from an ipod. i guess you never know.
thanks!

Alpine marine stuff has coated circuit boards and passes salt/fog/UV testing. Marine stuff will work with MC10 and MC1 remotes which allow iPod control from the remote. Non-marine stuff won't. The radios still can not be splashed with water but they will put up with the marine environment better than non-marine stuff. Some brands of marine product (some kenwood and sony models) can be splashed with water and live.
