Ok so power went off in the master bed. Went to Garage, breaker was tripped, so I moved it back to on position and no power. It stays in the ON position ,but I still dont have power in the room. I pressed the test button and it doesnt trip the breaker. Does this mean that it is bad, and I need to replace it? The home was built Dec 05. Any advice can help. Thanks.

Are you sure you have the right breaker that controls that room? My home was built aboutt he same time as yours and I have several breakers mislabeled

Pretty sure being the only room in the house without power. that was the only one tripped. I could be wrong? I would I know for sure?

I think its pretty rare for a newer breaker to go bad but maybe it happens? With that breaker off, no other wall plates or lights are off but in that room? If so and you are sure, I would pull the panel and check to ensure voltage is passing thru the breaker with a VOM.
If power is flowing thru it, I would try resetting all the breakers and confirm power is flowing thru all of them.
If you are not comfortable doing this, you need to call an electrician.

turn it all the way OFF then turn it on. if you just push it ON then it did not reset. try it if you have not.

Yea I did that. Would resetting the main beaker by turning off waiting 30sec and back on do anything?

no, main breaker controls all power. If you have power in oither rooms its not a possibility. Its an "all off or all on" switch

If it needed to be reset then all power would be off.
