What do you guys use to polish these things up with? I understand that some cleaners are not good for them. Real hardwood, not laminate.

Bruce Hardwood Floor cleaner is the only chemical cleaner we use. That is the only one I know of without the wax that attracts even more dirt.

I heard that rubbing Watchtower magazines on the floors really helps...

The best thing I've found is made by Bona. It's a Swedish company, and my flooring supplier handles their products. It comes in a kit with an applicator/chamois. Cleans and conditions, and seems to work pretty well.

Why are your incomplete sentence thread titles punctuated?

Maddening.

mineral spiritsI had forgotten about that. I've used it for spot cleaning in the past. I would imagine you could clean the entire floor with it as well. It's probably cheaper by volume too. Just make sure you get the odorless type or the house will smell like kerosene.

what about that Orange Glow stuff for hardwood? I've gotta polish up and spit shine all the hardwood flooring in the house before I move in, but I don't wanna put down a dirt adhesive. That would be teh suck :(

That would be teh suck :(I had to use mineral spirits to remove the waxy crap that Orange Glow laid down. I would not recommend it.
