It brought about a little rage within me. Probably had to do with the choices of song, editing, and making sure to point out the senseless violence the people of Iran are experiencing at the moment.
It could very easily be turned about as propaganda, though. Depends on which spectrum you view it through.
Even still, I don't think we should be involved in their fight anymore than giving every single citizen a laptop and free access to the internet. This way they can research every aspect of freedom, democracy, capitalism, socialism, history of civilizations, and especially unfiltered information. Then they will be able to make educated decisions for which type of government they choose to live in next.
I completely agree that the one they have now is trash.

Click on the Iran link.
I thought for sure you already did, thus causing you to look up Neda.

No, I was bringing up Google and it was on the video homepage. That girl looked very young to be a canidate of any sort and peaked my curiousity. I tend to shy away from political/religion convos. There is always at least one person who takes it way to personally and rather talk AT you, rather then have a conversation. All the bitching in the world on a internet board won't do anything, but some people don't get that. Here on DFW, there is a whole group of guys who bitch, but yet do nothing. And if you admit you aren't up to speed on something, or don't believe the same way they do, just turns into a shit flinging contest. I want to be educated on the subjects, not talked down to.

Trust me, I understand. Hell, I've been one of those guys. However, Mr. Majestyk gave props to Stang Seller in that thread. What the fuck does that tell you?
A serious shift has occurred, my friend.

She wasn't bad! Damn shame.
The best way to get a revolt going is to personalize it. I sincerely hope the uprising continues. The fuckos that run that country will only try to crush it and it will get worse.

Just what exactly do you disagree with, though?

Nope. Just one more person opening their eyes at long last, finally realizing their ideals were less than the what they thought.
We've not completely given up hope for you. Maybe another five or so years you'll pull your head out?

That's the problem, if more Iranians were armed then a leader would have emerged and they would have crushed the ruling clergy. The problem is that you have to fight for your country to be a leader, like George Washington, Cyrus the Great, Alexander the Great, and a few others. I believe this current upheaval will die down, but it will be the calm before the storm. The people of Iran are going to arm themselves, and they will fight back. Mark my words.
This poor, pretty young girl died a senseless death. But her cruel death has served as a reminder to people world wide, that this regime is as archaic and medieval as they have always been portrayed. There is no western meddling here folks! People just see them for what they are, and today, thankfully with the advent of the Internet they are able to see them more easily and more clearly for that which they truly are; savages. Most Iranians are close in age to Neda, 80% of the population is under 33 years old. I would wager everything I own that a very large percentage of them do not support the current regime, and want many of the same things we want. They deserve our support, whether it's a dollar, a gun, or just saying "we're with you".

And the extermination of tyranny will always have the support of the American people.
Well, at least until we ourselves are beaten into submission...

I know you're used to it. Hell, the first crossing of ideals between you and I could've been very disastrous if we were closer to one another. Luckily, I had no intention of driving a great distance over being sore about a comment on Texans.
We have since come to understand one another, allowing us to talk out our differences.
Growth, man. That's what I saw with Mr Majestyk's post. Just like I saw in us.
I disagreed with the idea that someone else posted under his screenname.
