Gonna be a good couple of games but I think LSU will win Mon and Tues for the title...and no, I dont want to bet $100. I've learned my lesson.

Haven't watched much of LSU, but I know UT can score runs with a quickness. Auggie should have them ready...Hook 'em!

Texas doesn't have an explosive offense like LSU does, but they do have a pretty decent pitching staff and with Augie's small ball, they're never out of a game. I honestly didn't think Texas would make it this far, because they've won so many games by 1 or 2 runs, I just figured it'd catch up with them at some point. But this team just keeps finding a way to win. I can't wait for Monday.
Dav - I'll go for a bet of say $50 for shits and giggles if you want. You know I'll pay up.:147:

I honestly didn't think Texas would make it this far, because they've won so many games by 1 or 2 runs, I just figured it'd catch up with them at some point. But this team just keeps finding a way to win. I can't wait for Monday.
They "manufacture" runs, with stolen bases and moving runners up. It's a pretty effective system for them, and they really have gone farther than I would have ever expected this year. Hell, TCU should have beaten them in that series.

I lived my whole life in Texas but moved over here in 2005 to work...sick of this place so coming back home. Just bought a house in Friendswood. Will be moved in 3wks.

My buddy K'ed between the two bombs last night, I'm sure he didn't care though once the second shot went out.
I'm really not sure who is going to win, but I think the games will be tight.

decent pitching staff? Texas has the #2 staff in the nation behind only ASU, which Texas just took care off.
IF texas can keep from throwing fat pitches down the pipe, they'll win in 3.

The games (the first two?) were close. TCU hadn't ever gotten that far, and I figured it might have been "their year". The Horns busted them the last game, but I thought the Frogs had a good run.

first game the horns made it closer than it should've been, but were never in danger of losing the game. Second game TCU just played good ball. I understand what you mean though

Even with the 2 runs in the 9th the inning, it"should've" ended 6-4. That 6th inning is what hurt Texas. First is was the hit and run that for some odd reason Tucker was covering with a left handed batter up. It was hit right where he WAS, that should've been two and that's the inning. If that happens Ruffin stays in. I think Ruffin should've been left in anyways. He said after the game he didn't come out because he was cramping. Oh well, Augie said after the game he messed up with the pitchers.
Hopefully, Jungmenn shuts them down today and Green tomorrow. Them my prediction will be right lol

Anyone watching tonight? Bottom of the 7th now, and UT is still owning them. That freshman is strong. His ERA (as of now) is sub 0.80 right now.

The wheels really came off the UT wagon, but LSU earned it. They were consistant and scored a lot of runs, and had good pitching. I was just glad the Horns were there.
