Couple questions for you guys that know more about the latest and greatest tech. I've been using my Nokia E70 for about a year and a half now to tether my laptop via bluetooth for internet access but have always noticed how retarded slow it is. I was trying to download an update for my computer today and noticed the transfer rate was 9kb/sec at best:yell: This phone is supposed to be 3G capable but does not connect at 3G because it is an unlocked phone. I plugged in the companies Verizon data card and got online to get the download and connected at over 300kb/sec and had the download in less than 5 minutes...but with my cellphone it said the download would take over 2 hours. I think I am ready for a new phone that has higher data capability. I am on a corporate plan with unlimited data on the ATT network and was wondering if anyone knows what is the highest data speed ATT is capable of? This 9kb/sec bullshit is annoying. Before anyone suggests using the Verizon card....well its company owned and they MONITOR its use and question our uses that arent very specific job required use.

Yep my old tilt kicked ass at tethering and especially when you unlock HSDPA speed. Makes 3G look like 56k. I could stream videos on my laptop on roadtrips and all that with ease.

fuck ATT and so called unlimited shit. i had that on my cell and tethered my computer and they hit me with some overage shit. i called them and they said that tethering isn't included on the unlimited plan. $60 a month for a slow connection and still get hit with overages.

Tethering here with a Tilt no problems (and pretty fast). I just don't use it all the time so that AT&T can slap me with an overage :)

the absolute worst feature of the iPhone is AT&T. I guess I'll wait for the 4G and hope Apple lets Verizon in on the action.

Sgt Beavis, what don't you like about at&t?
