View Full Version : Crandall 1/4 mile track + DFWstangs cruise GTG?
Would this be something that could possibly happen in the fall when the schedule slows down? Not like Northstar a few years ago when it was old top fuel rail/jr. dragster/index racing/brackets/dfwstangs, but something like the spring cruise. 90% street cars 10% grudge/race cars type deal....

Im pretty sure they would love it, the track turnout is horrible so far
That's what I was thinking. Maybe even do it in the summer? It's a win/win....

Do you think maybe that it's because a lot of the racecars around here are only setup to run 1/8th? Maybe that's why the turnout is low.

If that's true then no wonder. I won't be going out there very often if it is that high.

No I paid 15 to test n tune. Hell they had 20 dollars a car load of 4 for koth and it was still dead. thats 5 bucks to get in and watch koth.

Maybe if the track wasnt in BFE more people would go....
However, good idea on trying to get a 1/4 mile trip down. Im in.
It's slightly closer than Ennis is for me and I doubt Ennis would even answer the phone for an event like this. I figure Crandall on the other hand is very new and would be more likely to host a little smaller local GTG event....

We actually had a gig booked at Ennis...until they asked me to "sign a contract".
I cancelled.

I thought that was last year, Crandell would be cool. Its a super nice track, and its only like 40min from my house. For some reason it seams like it takes twice that long to get to Redline and Denton

This is the real problem. They do not want to work with anyone. When we tried to book a Muscle Car Challenge there they said they would only rent the track to us. Our proposal was to split the gate and we would have at least 100 cars, probably 150.... They said no way, so we passed.

Yeah, see, I am out on that deal.
Last cruise, we took in 134 tech cards and had a metric shit ton of spectators.

The track is very nice. I have gone the last two Saturdays and it was 15 to get in and an extra 10 to race. It is pricey but I like the 1/4 mile option without having to drive to Ennis.

The one time I went out there it was packed!
Best track in texas IMO! :147:
I'm sure they would give a slight "discount" for a medium size turn-out. $15, $20, $25 that's like a ten dollar spread and it won't kill anyone to pay an extra sawbuck to race on a brand new 1/4 mile track.....
