I've got a tree (American Elm) that is planted on the neighbor's side of the fence that has limbs overhanging on to my side and over my roof. Because it is an Elm the limbs are pretty spindly. The cheap ass neighbor won't pay to have it trimmed (says he's gonna move so let the new owners do it) but he agreed to let me cut the limbs back on my side at my cost (how nice of him). Every fall I have a tremendous leaf problem. Mainly the leaves dropping onto my roof and clogging my gutters.
Junior: can your guys cut the limbs back to the fence line using a pole saw without having to get into the neighbors yard? The tree itself is only about 2 feet away from the fence on his side of the fence. The tree is about 40 feet tall. LMK! Again, I have permission (which I shouldn't really need since the limbs are over the fence line on my property).

Curious on this, if the tree were to fall would it end up on your house?
I have a neighbor that has a tree...branches are over my fence now and would destroy a portion if it fell. Wonder if there are any laws/help if a neighbor's tree were to fall on your house - you could have it proactively moved/fixed.
Remember - I live in a development/community...whatever - not in the country where this is much safer/normal. :)
