View Full Version : Guest Room - Finished!

This turned out to be one of my favorite rooms in the house! When we bought the house this room was white with 1" brown trim, brown doors, white and gold fan, filthy mini blinds, and one shelf in the walk in closet.

I painted the room a bright apple green, added bamboo blinds, hung curtains from a suspension bamboo curtain rod, and then decorated in an Asain/orchid theme. We also did the thick baseboards like the rest of the house and I picked out a new fan that went with the room.

I also finished out the closet with paint and actual shelving units for more storage and use.

One more room finished! :banana:

Looks like the kind of room where a Bonsai tree would look good. :)

Not my thing, but my thing in my current home is whatever is good for resale. That sort of work is clean but personlized. Looks like very good work.

I love it! The colors are gorgeous! It's just like something I would do (if I had that talent :o ).

LMAO I wont even post the guest room I just finished. It's nice, but doesn't look anything like that.

Thank you everyone! I'm a little upset... we actually ended up trashing the room last night to empty the office so we can get the new floors in. Ah well... It never ends.

Pretty much. I never really intended for that to be a theme in the house but I guess I like them. LOL

We're staying here for YEARS so I don't mind a few personal choices... if we ever sold I think the "ooooh!" effect would overide the "I might need to paint this" caution in a seller. Who knows... Worse comes to worse I'll paint it beige to sell. :)
