Did a little change in my house. Painted the fireplace & wall. The quality of the pics are not great & the color looks better in person.

Thanks!

I'm going shopping tomorrow for a nice big mirror to hang over the fireplace. I might start moving things in this weekend. You guys have any ideas about window coverings like curtains or something like that?

If there is a kirklands out there, they usually have great deals on mirrors. I can't see the pics here at school, but I'll look when I get home. Target has a nice selection of window treatments for what they are. I've made all of mine myself so I haven't been window treatment shopping in a while-only fabric shopping. :o

The mantle is so white, now your trim and door looks "dirty"... I would have painted the same color personally.

The paint was still wet when I took the pics.

looks good...the paint really pulls out the color in the tile around the fire place.

Thanks everyone!!! Were going to start some updating on the master bathroom pretty soon too. Going to pull the plastic stand-up shower out & add tile on the walls. Also going to add tile on the walls where the tub is at.

It's near Yorktown & Cimarron.

I grew up down there, my mom lived off Santa Fe between Robert and Dodridge

My dad has a place out on Chapman Ranch Rd, between Webber and Staples.

I went by the house today to check on some things & for some reason I can't get use to the color on the walls. I thought after it dried that it would be a little more brown but it isn't. I'm thinking of repainting it an other color with more brown. Maybe something like this.

What do you guys think???

I'm digging the brown color myself. Sucks having to repaint tho!

Should I leave it or paint it???

IMHO, I'd leave the tub as is or just change out what's there for what you like. Easier maintenance and a cleaner look with...what is that...marble?

What I would do is gussy up that window a little. Definetly would get a frosty window that can't be seen in/out but lets light in. It would have that nice trimwork on it too to dress it up.

I'd probably just add tile around the marble/whatever is there to finish the white border off which looks nice IMO.

Just throwing out my 2 cents. Again, my wife never listens to my simple/straight forward ideas - so I suspect they suck. :D

What about the paint on the accent wll that I painted. Should I leave it that color or repaint it?

I'd leave the paint on the walls how it is, it looks good. Besides painting is a pain!!! Unless the brown would look better with your furniture.
