Here's a Honda Civic I recently finished up. Single polish step, then wax. Removed about 60% of the defects. The remaining 40% were a little too deep for a polish to remove.

Fun and rewarding, but hard yes in the heat of my garage. (no air flow, but shaded) I really enjoyed the beers afterwards doing that stuff.
I definetly could not do it for a living, that's for damned sure. I'd fling my G110 at people who complained about something after working on their crap for 4-16 hours...whatever it took.

Trick is to do a good job so you don't give them the opportunity to complain :D

I hear ya, but surely they'd bitch about the driveshaft or subframe connectors not being shiney enough. :)

Fair enough.
Bastard.
Sell that crap to Megs so I can just buy it. Or...sell it.

A+ work!
My car should produce some pretty good before and afters, it has so many swirls. I wish I knew how to take care of the issue without burning the clear, but that's what you're here for!

I can get you after 5ish, B. I am right down the street from Nick.
Say Nick, I think this would be the perfect car to let me practice on. :D
In all seriousness though, don't let the clothes fool you. I bust ass when it comes to working. I may be free this weekend if you need help with anything.
