View Full Version : first ride 08 GSXR1000
As some of you guys know when I got back into bikes I got my Busa due to the comfort and power since I normally do 300+ mile days. I bought it new in 05 and sat on or rode all of the 1000's at the time and didn't find any of them comfortable.
I just got off a 200+ mile ride on an 08 GSXR 1000 and have to say that it is actually comfortable, the one I was riding is slightly lowered and I think it may actually be more comfortable at stock height due to the bar height.
Think I may know what is next on the Christmas list. :147:

Just keep the Busa and get a power cruiser. Trust me, you'll be happy. I added the Cobra Swept exhaust and a power commander. Man I tell ya..........this thing moves out rather well for a heavy twin. :D Bench dyno has them making 104tq stock, with the Cobra and PCII should be at 110-115tq. :D
And the sound is nice.

You haven't seen my Busa lately, but I agree the Raider that I test rode moved out nice and was fairly comfortable as well.

Amen to that. I took the M109R to Waco last weekend, it was very comfortable and could still get up and go if I wanted to pass on the two lane roads without downshifting. Of course my brother on the ZX10R wondered why I took so long to accelerate, but I was definitely more comfortable than he was and could still walk at the end of the ride!

I know that you're getting it painted and all blinged out so it must be all dissasembled right now. But, still don't get another sportbike. Just keep the Busa and get a power cruiser. Something with some balls like a M109, Raider or Victory or Vrod. You won't be dissapointed.

Price wise I like that Victory over all the ones you listed since the next one I pick up will probably be used and the M109 and Raider are almost going for new bike prices when used.
Actually I am going anti-bling this time, I took all of the chrome off and powdercoated.

Try www.m109riders.com I got my '08 used for MUCH cheaper than new.
