What was the s/n of the guy that managed the Kawi dealer in Carrollton? I thought I had it in my PM's but no dice.
Or if anyone has a contact at one, let me know.

No! I rode one and it was uninspiring at best. Nice ride and all, but not sure I'd want to take on the jacob tree with it ;)

It'll get some trail treatment like bark busters and such. I'll ride it for a bit and see if sprockets need to be altered. But after spending some time on it today, I'm pretty damn happy. Plenty of punch, great traction, digs well in corners and feels very planted.
I have heard the first thing they need is a rejet, but I have no clue on a 4-stroke how to/when to/where to so this will be a learning process.

Looking to do Muenster and need an experienced guide. Hope to spend some time this week getting the break in behind me.

Are all 250s now four strokes? I was watching supercross the other day on TV and it seemed that they were all 4 strokes in the event.

yep, all AMA superX/motorX are on fourstrokes now. some ametuar guys and cross county guys still run two strokes.

The 2-strokes are becoming less populated these days. KTM is still dedicated as is Yamaha. But I think everyone else has stopped production.
I believe the AMA scrubbed the size regulations (125-2/250-4 & 250-2/450-4) and now it is open. So you may see some 2-strokes coming back if they start running 250:250 and so on.
It is a different feel. Coming off of a 2-stroke the engine feels completely different, off-idle torque is wonderful as is lugging it without fear of killing the plug all the time and the power seems to always be there - on both ends of the spectrum. I was riding yesterday in some muddy conditions and the tq can make things interesting when cornering in mud.

It's a motocross bike they don't have a warranty, it's just a technical way to say that I registered the bike with Kawasaki for him.
The Kawasaki warranties are pretty good. If you are having an issue with a warranty, I would be happy to look into it.

You tried to help a few months back about the CV joint boot.( And I thank you for trying to help)
It wasn't a big deal. Kawi said it was a normal wear and tear item. 15 dollars on ebay and an hour later it was fixed. My warranty runs out in 5 days, so far this is the only problem we have had on the ATV. It has about 60 hrs on it.

Mine was not on purpose haha... flipped the throttle and rear tire spun and kept on spining as I did a 180.

No problems man I appreciate you trying to help. I just laughed when they sent me the thing in the mail asking for like 800 dollars to extend the warranty though.
Unless we can somehow work some magic to get the warranty to cover adjusting the valves and a normal tuneup, then that is what I am doing this weekend.lol

I can sell you a 36 month warranty for $325 if you are thinking about it. No deductible and unlimited hours. I can do this as long as your are still within your factory warranty. I can do it all over the phone I just need your VIN# again.

I would love to I have just heard so many bad stories about ATV warraties. I mean when mud and water void the warranty... and its a 4x4 .... what is the point? If KAWI would have honored the only problem I had while it was under warranty I would buy it from you.

I assure you, we do everything we can to get Kawasaki to cover a defect under warranty. If you think about it, it only helps us. Take example your situation on your CV boot, I would have loved to cover it because we could have gotten paid full retail for the job. We would much rather do this then have the customer do it. The only thing with a CV boot is, it is hard to say that it ripped because of a "defect," they know better than that. It's a small piece of rubber that is under the ATV as your ride through rocks and other types of debris.
Now then, if for example your starter messes up because you get some water in it, we can easily claim that as a defect when it is not necessarily a defect.
The bottom line is there are just certain things that can't be covered i.e. a CV boot. Thankfully we can bend the rules a little to help both of us at the same time.

Yeah yeah, I know, but I think I'd be in the same position with the ATV's I was looking at;)
Which by the way, I was told 'the extra cost would have been worth it' Go figure.
Do you sell hour meters? Give me the Super Tel Aviv price on one.
