need help - newbie

My brother has a 1998 yamaha fzr 600. The bike started, but you had to give it gas for it to stay running. A few people told him he needed to cleen out the carb.

Also, it has been sitting for 2 years. Does anyone on here do mechanic work? It needs an oil change and a tire needs to be put on. Does anyone have any interest in coming to lewisville to see if they can help out? He is trying to stay away from shop prices

cleaning the carbs arent to hard, take the tank off, remove the carbs from the intake boot and flip them. then you can start cleaning them(mostly the needle and jets) then put it back together.

PM me I know a lot about bikes, worked on my since day one, I can give you some pointers. I hate shops, they charge to much then when you do get it back something else is fucked up.
