Its a 73 Honda 750 SOHC stroked to an 838 CC, mounted in a 73 Harley hard tail frame. He has been dickin around with it for about a year, tearin it down and changing things. Just recently tore it all down and built a custom exhaust in the shop. Had the frame and all repainted in purple, although it looks blue in the pics. Its a decent lookin bike for a Hybrid chopper.

Just figured it was worth a post or two, you wont see anything this strange every day! Its not my taste either, but it better than some Ive seen. That guy in Cali that builds the custom Rat bikes just un nerves me. Taking all those new parts and putting together a brand new POS.... ridiculous, but some people like them for some reason.

This one is mine. Nothing special, but it was a good starter bike, and it still a fun lil cruiser.

I like it. It looks better than anything to roll out the door of these parts-catalog "custom" chopper shops. What's cool is building your own scoot with what you have and with what you can afford.
And why NOT a Honda? The H-D thing is so played out. My dentist rides a Harley. His lawyer rides a Harley. They play dress-up on the weekends with all their yuppie friends and pretend they're outlaws.

Not sure, he bought it running, but the engine was jerry rigged on the frame, there were no front brakes on it at all. The paint was all messed up and the seat was the old style with springs under it. He didnt like any of that so he tore it down and started over. The exhaust is made out of those handi cap rails that you see in the showers at rest homes. Made a nice 1.5" exhaust though. He does really well the first few weeks its tore down, then near the end he gets in a rush to get it together and ride it. SO the end result is not what it should be.

Looks like if you hit a good bump on that thing it would shorten your spine by an inch or two.
I like the motor though. (but would NEVER want to tune those carbs)

Looks damn good! I had a Amen framed SOHC 750 chop several years ago, always liked that bike. You might want to edit the size of that engine though - 838 c.i. ? That is one huge fucking Honda engine! LOL!

That's a cool bike, I'd pimp it. There are a few like that down here in LC. One passed me a few months ago and I said "hey, that thing sounds weird" Looks like a cruiser sounds like a crotch rocket.

Not bad.. I would raise the front of the gas tank. The gas tank angle is out of sync with the frame angle.

You should see him stand up after a couple miles, like a 90 year old man. One carb was leaking a little gas, so he tore them down, cleaned them up, and all of them started leakin.. I was FUCKING rolling on the ground laughing.

His words, not mine on the 838, couldnt say for sure that its absoulute fact. It will pull my 750, but not by much.

Its sounds weird as hell for sure, but its not as loud as it was with the previous exhaust he built for it.

He is more concerned with the carbs that got the hammer treatment as mentioned above. I said the same thing, his response.... "Fuck it". Mine "Ok, whatever fatass"... :laugh2: He has gotten really heavy the last 18 months... Its my way of curbing his appetite. :salook:

Maybe 838 cubic CENTIMETERS is what you're looking for.

Its alright. Never really liked the Honda/Suzuki motor in a Harley frame. It would help tremendously if it wasn't that awful color of blue.
