Some states may not register it. Some insurances may not insure it. The value may be as much as 50% less than a non salvage bike. And can you trust you life with whoever fixed it. You dont know if the frame, forks ect have been fixed correctly. I would pass Its just not worth it to me.

i had a county require a green sheet even though it was already a Texas bike, its only $1 though.
Ive had 3 or so with salvage titles, bikes get "totaled" rather easy.
Just look over the bike really well and make sure there is no hidden frame damage

My R6 was a rebuild/salvage title. One of the worst decisions I've ever made. No how much/many times we tightened replaced the race bearings in the head/neck it would always loosen up again because the frame was stretched there. Never knew until alot of hard braking at MSR revealed it. Floating under braking feels very scary! :) hahahaha

the larger majority of bikes that got totalled are just cosmetic, get it checked out or bring someone that knows bikes. Texas is easy to get salvage title.

ya, you take a risk, but i've had salvage titled bikes that haven't given me any trouble at all. like previously said, these bikes can get totalled out really easily.
