Are there any decks being manufactured nowadays that recognize the FLAC or ALAC file formats? I've got a great idea, when I finally get a fucking job, to rip all of my CDs to FLAC or ALAC and hook a 2 TB drive hidden in my glove-box up via a USB port on the deck.

No rush on the responses since I am a broke, unemployed bastard at the moment. Just thought I get a feel for it.

Finally, someone says what 200 board members have been wanting to say since 2003.

doubt it, you'd probably need a touch screen to navigate 2TB worth of music. pioneer makes a unit that connects to your i-pod although it would be more expensive than a 2TB drive and not have the same storage.

All of the major manufacturers make units to connect an iPod. If that was what I was looking for, I wouldn't have even posted. Thanks for the information though. There's gotta be some sort of solution.
