If you're tall enough, they're always looking for a chuck-e-cheese stand in :)

worked for TxDOT doing speed limit studies and setting out traffic counters. Had to cover about 5 counties. Most of the time was spent driving, aka sleeping when you weren't driving.

I was a Life Guard ... definitely not a bad gig.

i don't know what your going to school for or whatever, but get a head start on your competition whenever you graduate, find an internship, or work for free somewhere just to get the experience..best thing young ones can do!

I figured that would be the old standby. Trying to think of other things.

if you think thats boring try being the manager of the pool, i would still be doing it but we got a new boss last summer and hated me because i was 18 and the manager of the second biggest pool in arlington. it seemed like she was always out to get me!

I'm doing construction science, I have been working for my dad's construction company on and off since I was 15 and now that things are slow I'm branching out.

I usually go cut lawns or fix cars for people. Landscaping is usually the best gig for me. check out craigslist and go to labor gigs, or for some quick cash, go deliver yellowpages. I made @ $150 for 1 1/2 days of work, not bad for pocket change.

See if you have any relatives/family friends in cool locales where you could work for the summer and stay with them. I had an offer to stay on Lake Tahoe one summer for free if I waited tables at Gar Woods. Unfortunately that was the summer before my senior year and I ended up doing an internship (but I now work there full time so it's not all bad :D).

I liked working at the Kwik Kar on Inwood, just south of Jesuit. Go by and tell Chad I sent you. He MIGHT give you a job.
