how to wire amp??

i have a kicker comp max 150rms, in a single sealed probox (behind the seat).
want to use my profile amp ba400 -- 2 x 100W @ 4 ohms
2 x 150W @ 2 ohms
1 x 300W @ 4 ohms bridged

should i go ahead and run bridged or just off one channel?? I really dont think that amp would really be putting out that much power?? if i blow the sub what you guys recommend to use?

What kills subs/speakers more often is clipping, so its not a bad thing to have some headroom in the amp. I know nothing about either of those components but I bet the sub will be fine with a little extra power, especially in a sealed box.

Bridge the amp and properly set your gain on the amp, I bet you will probably be safe with a little extra to the sub. If your worried set the gain using a test tone and meter and keep it around the power rating of the sub...

single voice coil woofer? If so, what ohm load?
Dual voice coil woofer? If so, what ohm load for each coil?
I would run the amp mono as long as the final ohm load the amp sees is 4 ohm or higher.

it's a single coil, i will guess its a 4ohm but need to take my multimeter to check for sure.
do you guys know if the "turn the gain down and up the boost" applies for the sealed probox rocks or just the ported? couldn't find it on the website or on a search

just checked the sub and multimeter reads 8ohm

Bridge the amp to that single coil. Most amps bridge by using the Left positive as positive and the right negative as negative. Some amps have the proper bridge procedure labeled on the end of the amp above the speaker wire outputs.

will it read it as 4ohm? or will the rms be different since it's 8ohm? i used to do it with 2 subs but never with one. if this one blows ill get a DVC

Yes, it will read as 8 ohm. The amp will put out the same amount of power as a 4 ohm stereo load. And, Andrew is correct, the ohm load will change while playing.

instead of pulling the sub out of the box, I tested to see whether it was 4 or 8 ohm. havent hooked it up yet. dealing with faceplate buttons on c/d player not working right looking for new head unit.
