Mossberg 500

Has anyone had a problem removing the wooden limiting dowel,the instuctions say remove the barrel and hold the gun at a downward angle,and shake lightly.I tried this and no dowel,closer inspection revealed the dowel wedged between the spring and tube.Thanks

Mine popped out pretty easy IIRC, been a while since I took it out(when I bought it)

there might be a cap in the end of magazine tube pry that out and pull the spring out the dowell should come out then.
