Anyone own one of these? I am considering getting one and carrying it as it looks to be more concealable. Any thoughts?

I had the G36 which was the first slimline model, pretty much the same gun without the rail on it. I liked it but im a small person so it was alittle harder to conceal that i thought it would be

glock 36 is also modeled after like the 27 model so its a little shorter and more compact than the 21 will be

I like the Glock 21 because it holds 13 .45 rounds. I currently carry a full size 1911 it is difficult to conceal though.

The ONLY advantage it has over a revolver the same size is the ease of reloading. If you're thinking about carrying something like that, get a G26, G27, G30 (if your hands permit it) or a small .357 Magnum revolver (and carry some speedloaders and learn to do quick reloads).I like the Glock 21 because it holds 13 .45 rounds. I currently carry a full size 1911 it is difficult to conceal though. The Glock 21, SF or not, will still be pretty difficult to conceal. You can do it (I've carried my regular old G21 before) but it's not fun and not easy. You can always carry a Glock 30 (semi-subcompact .45) and an extra Glock 21 13 round magazine.

I won't carry a revolver. I have carried several different guns. I have owned a few glocks and really liked them. I will get a 21 SF most likely as my hands fit my old 21 just fine. Thanks for the help guys. I just wasn't real sure if there were any known issues with the gun. It is a GLOCK though so it should work just fine.

I have owned one for little over a year. It's a glock  and the first one to "almost" feel right in my hand. Thinking of having a grip reduction done on it or perhaps sell it. I added a +2 extension on two mags (15 rds each) and I have one 13 rnd mag. It shoots well enough but I have been CZ person forever and I am still getting used to the Glock. I open carry with the Glock in the free states. The only other thing I can can think of is that 45 acp is getting expensive.

I had the old style 21 it is bulky. Now that a slim model that holds jsut as many rounds came out I am very itnerested. I am also a CZ fan but have the CZ VZ 58 never owned a CZ pistol. What state do you live in? I hope they pass open carry in TX it would make it so much easier to carry.

I live in the DFW area but I travel to New Mexico, Colorado, Arizona, and Utah often. Open carry would be so nice to have in Texas!

I can shoot just fine and passed my CHL with flying colors (Who doesn't) but prefer a quick firing high capacity carry weapon. I used to carry a glock 19 which held 17 9mm rounds. I sold it and got another 1911 which only holds 7 then i ran across a Glock 21 SF and am now considering trading or selling that to get that Glock. If some shit ever happens and i get into a fire fight i don't want to die for a lack of firing back. With a revolver and only 6 rounds i would be hesitant to fire as quickly and try to place my shots carefully to conserve ammo but with 13 .45 rounds that is a different story.

I carry both revolver and semi-auto. It just depends on what I'm wearing. I wouldn't limit myself to just a semi-auto or something high-capacity only.

If you can't get it done with just a few pops, you're in bigger trouble than what you'd need a 13 rounder for.

LOL! I have always been the type to do something using overkill. I would rather have that many rounds and not need them than to need them and not have them. I am going to post my 1911 up for sale and see what i get off that then go buy that glock. I have thought about carrying a little snub nose revolver for a back up though on a ankle rig. I could definately do that.

There's an Airweight SW .38 stubbie in the classifieds now. I love the Taurus hammerless .357. I mostly carry my NAA .22Mag 5 shot revolver (smaller than my cellphone) when it's summer and I'm just in shorts and a T-Shirt. Every other time, I've got my Glock 23 (3-hi caps). When I go to areas of concern, I have a small backpack with a small army on my shoulder, otherwise, it's just somewhere nearby.

LOL! I usually carry on my hip wioth a little longer shirt and noone can tell. When I carried my Glock I had a Fobus paddle hoslter and carried cocked and locked as it locked into the holster and covered up the trigger. It was a really nice gun and setup. I am posting my 1911 right now and am going back to a Glock.

I wish I could get another one from the 1911 family (like a Kimber Ultra Carry or something), but I can't make anymore major purchases right now until I find out when I'm moving.:frown:

I also want a Kimber and with all the money I have spent on guns I am shocked I haven't got one yet but will soon. I just posted my 1911 it is the Taurus PT 1911 which is a good gun it came with 2 sets of grips. I owned one prior to this one and loved it but sold it for an AR 15. I went out and bought this one which is still unfired and now want a Glock. I have noticed I am buying and selling guns quite a bit lately.

A Glock 21 isn't going to be any easier to conceal than a full-sized 1911. They're going to be about the same length, but the Glock will be noticeably thicker and maybe a little heavier when fully loaded.

If you get a Glock 30 (the semi-subcompact .45 ACP), you can carry it 9+1 (maybe 10+1, I'm not sure) with an extra 13-round Glock 21 magazine or two. That's how I roll when I carry my 29.

It is a GLOCK though so it should work just fine.just FYI, the glock 36 is the lemon out of the glocks. google "glock 36" adn you'll see "glock 36 problems" about 5 or 6 down the list on the drop down menuI used to carry a glock 19 which held 17 9mm rounds.glock 19's don't hold 17 rounds, they hold 15If you get a Glock 30 (the semi-subcompact .45 ACP), you can carry it 9+1 (maybe 10+1, I'm not sure)they make both, a 9 round mag and a 10 round mag. the 10 rounder sticks out a little but that's a good place for your pinky finger to rest on.
