View Full Version : Honda Ruckus or other like it..

I know this isn't a Motorcycle. But I couldn't figure out where to put this. I was looking at getting a Honda Ruckus to mess around in town since I live about 5 miles from everything and think it would be fun. This would just be something "fun". I am not stuck on the Ruckus but I have a buddy that works at Honda and he says he can "hook it up". Has anyone owned one? If so how did it hold up? What kind of annual maintenance can I expect? I also heard since it is a 50cc motor you don't even need a Motorcycle endorsement or even a license for that matter. Any truth to this?

I have looked on craigslist and see an 03. I wonder what the mayjor changes are?

they are SLOOOOOW with a big dude on them. I rode a piped one and it wouldn't even do 30 on flat ground. :( I wanted one badly. Yamaha makes one that's much better for the heavier dudes. When I was out riding, I was doing some figure 8's and blazing up the corners on the little thing, and some cruiser rider looked at me like I was crazy. Thumbs up!

we have one for a pit bike and it is TURD slow and heavy for what it is.

i am not sure, but i think one of the guys at rockwall honda had one that do like 80 or better...

09 yamaha zuma comes with a 125cc

I just spent an hour reading through that thread. That guy has some amazing fab/weld skills, and WAY more patience than I could ever hope to have.

09 yamaha zuma comes with a 125cc

god bless.it's also fuel injected, has a 4 valve head and is only $500 dollars more than the carb'd 49cc 2 valve ruckus

if you do get a ruckus, at least do a gy6 swap like this
