Well everything was way over priced today ($50 for .380) :confused2:but i did get a good deal on a scope for my 7mm Mag. Its a Osprey 10-40X50 with light up cross hairs and balistic drop. The elk are safe no more. Now i just have to get it dialed in.

Hell yea! What time do they close today?

I kinda want a new scope, but don't really need one... how much did you pay?

Dude i paid $240 for that one. They had a couple of cheaper but i wanted the light up sights and the ballistic drop. Not sure what time they close but they had alot if you can get by there tomorrow.

The balistic drop is different for each caliber, weight, and velocity of the bullet. The directions say 750 yds. Its on my 7mm Mag so im not sure what kind of range it would have. I know i was playing around with it and could see the eye lashes on one of my cows on 40 power @ 300 yds :)

Yeah i guess the info i found says with a 150 grain bullet that it drops 35 inches @ 500 yards I know i shot a doe with the same rifle @ 320 yards this last winter and held about 5 inches high and hit right where i wanted to.

Yeah, that .380 ammo price was out of control. $50 (+ or -) for boxes that looked 30+ years old. No thanks! That's a freakin huge scope btw.

HA HA yeah it has good range. It has the sun blocker on it in that pic so it looks really long. Yeah what has it ome to when you can buy high powered rifle rounds at the same price of small hand gun rounds. THIS SUCKS!!!!!!!!!! I just bought a new LCP and cant bring myself to pay $50 just to practice with it.

I hear ya, my Bersa isn't really broken in yet, but it does shoot sweet. I'm holding onto what little ammo I have till things settle down a bit...or until I win the lottery. ;)

Speaking of big scopes (4-16X40 cheapo Walmart, but it works...ask Skidmark)...

It is (Marlin 336) and I can't quite do the Chuck Connors thing...at least not that they'd be pleased with at Alpine. Oh, and the LeveRevolution ammo rocks!

Cool deal and not a problem. I'm warning you though, if you shoot it a few times, you might get addicted.

Yeah guns are addicting. You buy one, and months later you end up with 4 more. Ask me how I know.

I hear you! I shouldn't have went to the show... I was like a kid in a candy store.

5 months ago I had never owned anything past a pellet gun. Built up a tactical 12g/sold it, bought an XD40/sold it, bought the 7mm savage, and now the AR.

Expensive hobby :frown:
