The Springfield is only a .40 cal, and the H&K has almost a 4" barrel. I guess for me it would be the Kimber or the Para, but the para is going to be heavy with the 14+1 capacity.
I'd probably pick the Kimber for those reasons.

How about a SIG SAS compact?

How about a SIG SAS compact?
Not bad, but really wanting a 1911 framed gun.
Only reason the HK is even on the list is because I owned one, and was the best shooting gun I have owned..

HK all the way, I love my USPc 9mm ... have you thought about going with a USPc .40? 12 round mags and pretty concealable. If you get the flat baseplates it makes it super easy. You can p[ick one up for about 600 or less used and they will take a beating like a crack whore. Here is my 9mm, it has been to hell and back from the looks of it but it is still dead ass reliable. I think I have 2k rounds through it without a single falure. The guy I bought it off of only had 2 falures in 8 years and god knows how many rounds. It has been carried since 2000 and still looks presentable ... kinda.

Whats wrong with a .40? I am thinking about switching to .40 more and more, I think that a .40 P229r with a .357 barrel would be ideal. Use the .40 for practice because of ammo costs and then put the .357 sig barrel in for carry. Of course I would practice a bit with the .357 barrel but only about 50 rounds a month, .357 is too damn expensive to be shooting it all the time without reloading.

Nothing is "wrong" with .40 S&W, hell, I've carried one on my hip and my life has depended on it since 1994, but if I had my rathers, I'd rather have the .45 going towards my target.
I wished I could carry that stainless Kimber I bought, but it's not authorized.

ord warthog. I have been eye balling that gun for a while. then lost my job. = no gun
The Kimber you pictured is gonna be a lil lighter than some, because the frame is made of aluminium. I voted for it I have the full frame 5'' version of it and love it but have been thinking about the smaller versions for carry.

Based on my personal experience and 10 minutes of research.
PARA - I like the Warthog at $715. I dont like double stack and no night sights.
SPRINGFIELD - I like the warranty and support from Springfield. If I was going to buy a Springfield, I would get the Loaded Micro or Compact. If you go to a 4" barrel, they make a nice Champion Operator. They're all .45 ACP with night sights but they have the ambi safety which I dont like. They're all expensive...
HK - I like the HK but its not a 1911 style... which is what I wanted.
KIMBER - I have the Kimber Ultra CDP II and its a great pistol... Love the way it shoots and its easy to conceal... It's expensive and I dont like the Ambi safety for a carry pistol. You will brush up against things and you will find it off.
It has a very short cycle so if you limp wrist the Kimber, it will have feeding and/or ejection problems. (This might be true with the others but I have seen it with the Kimber)
I really like my Kimber so I'm biased... :)

I was looking at the Colt defender, kimber ultra carry, or a Glock 27. I eventually just decided on the glock. For the money I saved I was able to get it with the night sights, the mag exts, a lone wolf barrel to shoot 9mm (which works for my 23 and 27 now), a 33 round 9mm mag, a G19 mag, and a G17 mag.
I really like the colt defender, but I also didn't like the beaver tail for trying to conceal it. Just figure out what is comfortable, and which works best for the purpose you are buying it for.

Also, Bachman had the Kimber Crimson ultra carry with the lasergrips for $999 at the gun show last weekend. I am not sure what they normally go for, but I figured it was a decent price.
I like the warthog...10+1 and it is a 3" barrel with a 4.5" grip. That is a short grip with plenty or rounds behind it. Since the grip is the hard part to conceal, it sure would be a nice piece to conceal. I wish the XD45 compact grip was .5" shorter (same size as warthog)

I have the uspc 40 and for me it seems a lil too big to carry. I really like the springfield EMP, I have been eyeballing those lately.

I voted Kimber, im also bias because i have owned a few. But ive also owned a Springfield and Para 1911 and they where both good guns.
I bought my Kimber Ultra Tactical on here a few years ago and still have it. It's my most trusted concealed carry.

I think I have my mind set on the Kimber, IF I can find one....
Found an HK USPC .45 with stainless slide, but dude wants $800, which I think is too much, or more then I would pay for it.

I wasn't a big fan of the way the para felt with the double stack mag. I went with the kimber ultra carry II because it was lightweight and fit in my hands nicely. For being such a small framed gun it has hardly any more recoil than a full frame 1911. I would say Kimber hands down, but I am pretty partial

$800 is nuts ... you can find a USPc.45 for around $600
one that sold for $575 shipped

Here is a HK45 compact for $790 shipped

NIB USPc .45 for $719 shipped

Best bet is if you cant find a uspc .45 for less than 675 then just buy the HK45c if you can afford to. The HK45c feels great too.
