conn's advertised a 40" 1080p samsung for $699, if i remember correctly...that's a smoking deal. i don't know what the contrast ratio was or any other specs...you'll have to check with conn's for that.

you're not gonna find a 50" lcd tv for $500 at best buy, lol. I can tell you dealer cost on each 50" and there's nothing for that amount. plus I have yet to find a 50" lcd at best buy. they jump from 46" to 52". maybe in a plasma....

We love our Vizio that we bought at Sam's. May not be a Sony or anything, but it's nice and we've had it 3 years and it looks great!

He's an idiot... he put a Walmart price on a non-standard size LCD from "BestBuy" and then put a non-working link to a fucktard website.

Last week was Trophy Club's semi annual garage sale. I bought a 50" Toshiba HD tv for $200. Beautiful picture. After selling the tv that was in the living room and my old dining room table (thanks Cliff), the tv cost me $25!

Finding the best LCD TV (http://www.smartratings.com/electronics/plasma_and_lcds/472) online can be done by reading the reviews especially the ones coming from the experts. Trust me, you'll never go wrong by doing it.

I bought it last May from Amazon. I think it had a 12 month parts/labor warranty that will expire this month.

I bought my 42" Toshiba Regza (1080p @ 120hz) from Conn's for $749 back in January. Im very happy with this tv, with the exception that it does not play well with Time Warner STB's.

After being quite experienced and well versed in what exactly is a good deal, Best Buy usually is one of the best for TV's, they do occasionally run sales that are exceptionally good.

newegg.com is a good place to buy TV's as well, free shipping, no tax - and when it comes to that much scrilla, no tax is a big deal.

We bought a 32" LCD Magnavox 720p from best buy on Saturday and it's OK. We really don't care too much how the picture looks, but it seems like the picture quality is shit these days unless you want spend a grand or more. My 15 year old 13" TV/VCR combo has better picture quality then our new LCD TV. We just wanted something cheap and this one fit the bill. I don't know if it how I have it hooked up or what, but DVD's and our dish network look pretty much like shit and the sounds is OK at best.

It's mainly because Magnavox sucks. You don't have to spend high $$ to get a nice TV. There are nice brands out there for the cost. Best Buy is about the worst place to buy as well.

How do you have it hooked up?

100% agreed. Magnavox is trash. However, I disagree about your Best Buy comment.
