I placed an order little over a month ago for an complete upper, and I have not heard anything from them after I placed the order. I even sent them an email two weeks ago just asking if I am at least in line, and no reply.
Anyone hear anything? :sadwavey:

Prolly still on B.O., but they will be at Market Hall this weekend and I bet they will have plenty of them for sale there...they always do. You might be better to cancel the order and buy one there.....

I never looked that closely at them, I know they have basic uppers but not sure about the railed uppers. They do have a lot of accesories also. They go pretty fast too.....

I placed my order on December 22 I will see my order around December of this year. That 8-16 weeks is a bunch of crap. There is around 20k+ in orders in front of you. They ship 50-250 orders a week. Do the math.

I orderd a 16 and 20" a2 upper with crome lined bore and bolt and carrier. You need to look on ar15.com , under industry click on delton. There is a 59+ page thread from people waiting on orders.
Here is a post from yesterday on ar15.com .
"They charged my card yesterday. Got the confirmation that it shipped today.
Your order has shipped. (Order#: 248xx placed on 11/21/2008)"
He ordered on 11/21 and was order number 248xx"
My order number is 28xxx. Iam sure you are in the 39k plus order range. So add up the difference from your order number to that guys and divide by 250 and that is an idea of how many weeks it will take. It will take probably longer than that . Because they dont always hit the 250 mark each week some weeks are in the 100's.

I am sure they do, they can only pump out so many guns in a week. :bs2:
I am going to try and make it to thegun show tomorrow. Hopefully they have an upper close to what I want.
Anyone go out there today? See any uppers?

What are you looking for? I went and ended up getting a 11" upper for my SBR. I got there at 9:15 and finally got in the door and made it to their table about 10:15. I waited about an hour in line at their table to look at and buy my upper and the other parts I needed. It was nuts, and they had hardly any 5.56 uppers left. In fact, when I was looking they did not even have an m4 flattop upper left. If you go tomorrow it will probably be slim pickens.

I was there when they opened and about the 100th thru the door, went straight to Model 1 and they had a ton of uppers, easily over 200 with at least half in .223. By the time I picked out a stripped barrel and waited forever in line to pay for it they were pretty much out of .223 uppers....I have no idea if they have any to restock Sunday but they hadn't pulled any more out when I left in the early afternoon. They should have some at the Ft. Worth show next week but you have to be there the first hour or they will be gone too.......

This is what I ordered, so I hope I can get this.
16'' AR15 C.A.R. Upper Half, 5.56 NATO, chrome lined chamber & bore; 1-9 twist, A2 flashider; A3 upper; 2 rail gas block sight base, $35.00 option; YHM free float 4 rail handguard, $100.00 option; Bolt carrier group & Wook ambi chrg handle, $106.00 option
This is the hardest $700 bucks I have ever tried to spend!
I can't do any searching on "gun show" here at work. What time do they open?

When I spoke to the people at Model1sales they told me they are pumping out 100 uppers a day, and they are about 4 months behind.
*sigh*...looks like I will have to buy one at the show. That is if I ever get my damn lower

No, but its slightly cheaper...(they tack on the 3% or whatever the credit card companies charge)

Im sorry I misspoke on Model ones sales I was thinking of Delton in my earllier post. I placed an order with Model 1 also back in December for a a2 dissipator upper that I have yet to see. So Iam calling the bluff on Model 1's 4 months also.

I was scared that they didn't take a card when I got there. Damn Wells Fargo would not let me take $300 out Saturday, and $300 Sunday morning.
They do take cards, but I could tell they don't use it often. It took two people to use the machine.

They should learn lessons of what happened to DPMS... Profit vs. Quality
If they are putting out 100 out a day, then they best make sure its the best 100 not 70-80 out of the 100. We all know it takes a long time to build up a great reputation and a short time to lose it.

They may have had a different crew Sunday, also the machine was acting up Saturday but they took a lot of cards all day long.....
Did you get the upper similiar to the one you ordered? Did you cancel the backorder or are you going to let it ride.......

My choices were slim in 16" barrels. I just know it is a stainless steel 16" barrel, and surely not light. I emailed them and canceled my order... Pics

Well I placed my order on March 28 and received it tuesday April 28!!! I did only order a buffer, tube, spring though. Then this past weekend I had given up and went to the show and bought what I needed. Oh well, I can still use the on the extra stripped lower in the safe.

AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWH man... I didn't mean to jinx you... J/K
It could be a magazine problem. It was a brand new C-Products 30 round mag that did the same thing. I put in one of those used G.I. 20 rounders and it worked like a champ. I examined it and it was the feed lips on the mag. they were narrower than my faithful G.I. mag. It looked as if it had been dropped. I took a pair of needle nose pliers and matched it to my G.I. mag. Now it works like a Kentucky Derby 3yr. old... I'm curious to see if thats the case. You should not have to be filing or grinding on a brand new AR. :frown:
Also make sure you tap the bottom of the mag to make sure its seated well.

RRA lower, with RRA 2-stage trigger. It was assembled by me. :006:
It was the barrel extension. It still had some burs or some shit on it. It loads a round but scores it, so I assume it will affect accuracy.

If you want to get a kit from Model1 just go to a local gun show. I picked up a full kit this weekend, easy as pie and it only took 15 minutes. I also got a good deal since I was paying cash. It took longer for me to find a parking spot, wait in line, and walk back to the car than it did at the Model1 booth.... and they were super busy.
Apparently there are a lot of you guys that make a little on the side with your own AR assembly gigs.
