I am in need of about 3-4 magazines. Does anyone know of a good place to purchase these? A lot of places dont have them in stock. Or if anyone has any Ill buy them off of you. Thanks.

Check brownells ... they have decent prices on wilson mags

CDNN investments has some McCormicks or Mec-gars at very good prices. I liked the 8 round Mec-gars the best.

isn't it the wilson mags that have to be modified to fit the gun? Something about trimming excess metal to match the ejection port?

Nope, they run flawless out of the package. I think you are refering to STI mags that need to be "tuned" to a race gun.

CDNN investments has some McCormicks or Mec-gars at very good prices. I liked the 8 round Mec-gars the best.

Be careful with those man ... the followers can damage alloy framed guns. That is a big reason on why I prefer the wilson mags when I had a 1911

Go to a gun show and buy the good old USGI 1911 mags new in the wrappers for 4-6 dollars each.

Got my Colt mags. That place is EXCELLENT. Fast shipping and I have never seen Original Colt mags for that cheap. I got the 8 rounders. If anyone needs magazines, I highly recommend CDNN Sports. :cool:

I knew they would have what you need. They have a huge warehouse in Abilene. The only issue is that you have to pay freight and shipping because they're in Texas.

Colt or Wilson is all I run, but I've only got 4 mags right now.
