you can pick up a mossberg maverick for 189 new at academy and I got a 29.00 tacstar grip from cheaper than dirt.

Most shotguns can have a pistol grip added. I have owned several home defense shotguns and still do. I have an old style Winchester 1300 it holds 7 and has the wood grips it is the best shotgun i have ever owned. I have owned the remington 870 tactical model, a mossberg 500, and a new model 1300. I paid $200 for the winchester 1300 and added a side saddle, butt cuff, and a tac light. It is badass!
