so I am pissed today because I like to listen to The Ticket and their signal sucks and today has finally pissed me off. I want to get an HD radio to see if I can pick up their HD signal. Anyone listen to The Ticket on HD Radio? Anyone know a descent HD Radio for a good price ~$100 or less and where I could pick one up today, like at lunch? I am leaning towards running over to Radioshack or Walmart and picking one up, just wanted to see if anyone out knew of something.

damn right...believe it or not, it isn't as monotonous as listening to music all day long.

I have 3 HD radios and I am normally listening to The Ticket on 99.5 HD2. It sounds awesome! Crystal clear 24/7! The HD broadcast area is a little smaller than FM but I have not had any range issues so far. JVC is probably the cheapest decent unit at approx $150 or so. Cheapest way to do Alpine is approx $300. Kenwood cheapest is $250.

it seems like all broadcasts are getting crappier, especially the little ticket.

the ticket picked up static on 104.1 so we built a super antenna which worked great for a while but now the static is back.

The Alpine tuner has 40dB wider stereo separation, much wider frequency range, and zero static.

select dallas ft worth to see the channel list. DFW radio is volotile so some channels listed may not exist or may not be in HD anymore or the format may now be different, etc. It does give you an idea of what is available. For the HD1 channels, it is the same exact broadcast as AM/FM but it sounds much better. HD2 channels are different than AM/FM but they still have commercials. 100.3 HD2 "The Strip" is kinda cool.
