The people in charge now have all iterated this intention in the past, repeatedly, and in the face of overwhelming opposition to the idea. They watched their colleagues get voted out over it in 1996, and they still haven't figured out how unpopular this idea is. I realize they said they wouldn't do anything earlier, but you have to remember that when an election is on, and a politician is changing his/her tune, they're probably lying. They may not be taking my guns, but it's no ones business what I keep in my home. Is she going to try and reverse the reciprocal agreement between most states for CHL holders? Once you give them control over your guns (registration) then they will start CONTROLLING how many you are entitled to own. I think the NRA has plenty of money to have the lobbyists fight this one down.

I still think regulating the ammo is the route they will take in the end . There are way too many guns on the street to have all of them registered . If you force the ammo manufactors to put serial numbers on the casings , this will drive up the prices on the ammo . Tax the shit out of it on top of that and most people will stop buying it . Without affordable ammo , guns are worthless .

Personally , I can only hope none of the above takes place but America wanted change so here is it .

Even after the election. Holder jumped the gun a few weeks ago and Pelosi back tracked, basically stating they were not doing anything. They used the media outlets to publicize gun violence over the past few weeks as ammunition to fuel their anti-gun tirade.
Everyone knew this was on their agenda from the start.

I think your probably going to see a cost increase on ammo, part of that is for the numbers, the other part is just an opportunity for the manufactures to make more money.

the other thing that is coming: insurance companies are lobbying legislatures all over the country to require gun owners to have insurance

Just off the top of my head you have Australia and England that put registration programs in place and it led to the government telling gun owners that there firearms are now illegal and must be turned in. Gun crime has skyrocketed in these countrys like crazy. Besides, why would the goverment need to know who has guns? The only reason I can think of is confiscation. If you really think that registration will keep criminals from breaking the law you are sadly mistaken. Whats breaking one more law to them?

Most of you have the right attitude. Yes you need to keep you weapons, this is the only reason your still free, or at least have the illusion of freedom. To those who say, "they will never get mine" Really? you need to think about that long and hard. I know a few folks in Louisiana that said the same. But when the U.S. military was called in under martial law, and they went house to house taking them, no one pulled a Charleston Heston. You really need to do a few things first. One you need to think long and hard about dieing for what you believe in. Me personally, I'm assuming I will die when they come to "Unconstitutionally" take my weapons by force. But I will follow the Constitutions laws. This means I have the right to use my weapons against foreign and domestic enemy's of the people.

If they come to take my weapon by force, they are breaking the 2nd, 4th, and 14th amendments. If they come and bring the U.S. military, it is because Bush Brain over turned the The Posse Comitatus Act of 1878.... Now why would he do that?

Why would the Obama want to let the 30+million illegals stay here and give them a pardon, during a full blown ression/depression? Why would he take our hard earned money and give it to some of the wealthy financial institutions? There is a lot of things every one need to look up for them selves. Like why would all of these presidential orders get passed? What does all these orders together add up to? Here is a list to get you started.

This brings up a good point: everybody says "yeah they'll get the bullets first...," including me. But at what point do you really make the decision to pull that trigger and officially become a marked man? If the government showed up at your door today would you really do it, give up everything you know and be a killer and a fugitive for the rest of your life, or would you hand them over and hang onto the life you know at least for a little while longer?

I think everybody has this situation in their mind like it's the civil war, where the enemy government army is advancing in uniform and the whole family and the neighbors are holed up in the house with the rifles sticking out of the windows, but I have a feeling it won't happen like that. I think it will definitely happen by degrees, and everyone will have that decision to make: At what point do I make that call that I can't turn back from?

WEATHERFORD - A Weatherford man pleaded guilty to stealing a purse from a Parker County church while dressed in drag, and it's not the first time he's been in trouble with the law.

Robert Thurman Mills, 44, waived a jury trial and pleaded guilty to debit card abuse Monday, according to law enforcement.

He was arrested on August 17 last year after sneaking into a Weatherford church and allegedly stealing a purse. Police say he used a debit card from that purse at a shop directly across the street.

The assistant manager of the store remembers Mills because he was 6 feet 2 inches tall, and wearing makeup, feminine clothes, and carrying a purse.

According to the Parker County Sheriff's office, Mills has been arrested at least five other times in the past two years on charges ranging from theft of service to forgery.
