Went to my local audio store, and the kid behind the counter told me MB Quart had gone out of business. He had also never heard of Focal, and tried to sell me some Rockford Fostgate bullshit components. Just trying to confirm or deny said rumor.

Doesn't Rockford Fosgate own MB Quart?

What audio store hasn't heard of Focal? I haven't heard anything about MB Quart going under. I think I would avoid that audio store, maybe hit up EW.

MB Quart was purchased by Maxxonics who moved the manufacturing to china and moved most of the products to lower line stuff. We are almost sold out of our MB Quart inventory and will not be selling it anymore. This store has sold MB Quart since 1991 or so and I am sad to see it go. JL Audio has some very nice offerings that handle more power and sound better than the old Quart product. The JL Audio C5 and ZR product are built in Germany as well.
F Focal.

One more note, German Maestro is producing old Quart style products and has old Quart employees working there.

I wonder what makes retards at some stores flat out lie to people about products they don't sell or know anything about? People at car toys in Hurst were telling customers that Audio Control was out of business when they no longer carried it.

Man that sucks about MB Quart, I always liked their stuff....still though, the kid didn't know what he was talking about. Ya Focal suck and have for a while now, but who hasn't heard of them that works at an audio store?

Are Boston Acoustics still good? I used to have BA 4" PRO seperates and BA 5.25" PRO seperates in my Jeep with a JL 10" W06 and an old PG 6 channel amp when they first came out in like 2000/2001 (when PG was still good). Man that was a clean, loud playing setup for a Jeep... I miss it. :sad2:

I have had a few sets of Quart's, that is too bad to hear, I am wanting some new zr's anyway. Maybe one day I will actually pull the trigger.

Yes and if you've ever owned an Audi, VW, Porsche, Fiat, BMW or Mercedes there is a good chance you've had something from them. Blaupunkt = Blue Dot when translated.

sad to hear that. I have an older Quart 10" in my C5 and it hits pretty damn hard for no more than I am pushing through it.

That really sucks. I've always been a fan (have some of their home audio)
