Anyone tried this adaptor for iPod's etc in the 05+ w/shaker 500? It also has an additional HD tuner you can buy for it too. So many of the adapters I've heard of cause all kinds of issues with gauges, etc so I'm a little wary on the adapters...

I would just buy a new HU, but they always attract thieves and I'm done with my big expensive system days...

Issues with gauges? Is this S197 specific or in general? I've put several of the iSimple adapters in the cars of friends and family and haven't had any issue yet, but none on an S197.

I only checked on installs on the s197 so not sure about other models. Apparently it was sporadic and would go away, but the gauges and other electronics would act up. This was apparently an issue with a lot of the adapters when they first came out though...

I read that there were apparently some firmware updates that they did and had a new Gen2 now that was shipping. So hopefully that's all been resolved with this unit. It's good to know you haven't experienced any problems with other models though.
