This is ridiculous. This on top of the long wait times for new releases is making me considering dumping Netflix.

isn't that still cheaper than renting two blue rays at a movie store?

i have yet tried netflix out for reg dvd's just because i figured that the disc would be scratched at to hell and wouldn't play

Yes, it's still a pretty good deal overall if you are averaging 2 discs a week. However, my problem with the price increase is the lengthy wait times for new releases. If they increase prices then they need to address that. I've always been happy with Netflix, but lately I'm waiting 2 weeks on a new release to show available in my queue.

damn two weeks! so basically on a time scale your really not getting your moneys worth with each shipping time frame

Yeah I got this shit today. You can pickup used bluray discs on amazon for like 8 bucks, and with torrents it almost makes me want to just ditch them.

I love netflix, i only rent standard dvd and have yet to wait longer than 3 days for a new release, but i guess its cause its a regular dvd. But i wont drop them, their instant option on xbox live is great, i love being able to watch bullitt any time i want and dont have to run out to get it.

Still works out for me since I get about 3-4 a week. If I remember to put new releases real early, they usually send them when the come out. One good example is Dark Knight that I put in early and they sent it day it came out. So far no complaints other than one week one my neighbor was getting my movies.
